Harini is a development professional with 12 years’ experience in India on evidence based research, governance, public policy and public service delivery. Her interest and curiosity lies in studying the gap between policy and implementation for improving delivery of public services. She has expertise in the areas of Urban Infrastructure, WASH, Decentralization, Accountability, Right to Information, Public Management, ICT4D and livelihoods of marginalised groups.

Harini’s most recent work has been in evidence based research. She has been involved in two systematic reviews for DFID and 3ie on (i) the approaches to basic service delivery for urban slums in low and middle income countries and (ii) the extent of use of life-cycle approach in WASH programming during the MDG period. She has been involved as a Co-PI and subject matter expert on Water and Sanitation in these two systematic reviews.
