Rajiv K Raman
Rajiv K. Raman has more than 20 years of Development Research and Consulting experience in India. He built up his knowledge-base during the initial years through the management of medium to large survey-based social research and consulting tasks in rural and urban domains, across various sectors – Water Supply and Sanitation, Energy, Natural Resource Management, Livelihoods and Decentralised Governance – and across the country. These involved interactions at multiple levels – households, communities, local governments, federal and national governments, and management of researchers/consultants from different disciplines.
Rajiv has provided strategic advisory inputs within the watsan, energy and governance areas and in the overlap amongst these, to state governments, multilateral and bilateral agencies, utilities and select NGOs. These include various aspects of program delivery including strategy, design, delivery systems and assessment metrics. His work in the energy, water and sanitation sectors reflects extensive working knowledge and comfort with diverse social group/formations, government institutions at state, district and sub-district tiers, Civil Society coalitions and Project Management agencies.
During the course of his career, Rajiv provided nearly a decade of leadership to the business practice area of Governance and Institutions Development in a premier research and consulting organisation (www.taru.org).
